Public or Private? Choosing How to Share an AI Skin

Compare public and private AI Minecraft skin creations, credit rules, and sharing tradeoffs.

Updated 3 min read

Public skins help other players discover ideas

A public skin can appear in the Gallery with your original prompt. Other players can compare its variations and download the version they prefer.

Publishing works best for broad concepts you are happy to contribute to the community: fantasy classes, seasonal characters, creatures, and visual experiments.

Private skins protect unfinished or personal concepts

Keep a creation private when it contains a character used on a private server, an unreleased character, or an idea you still plan to refine. Private creations remain in your account history and do not enter the public gallery.

Paid credits allow either visibility. You can change a completed paid creation later, while free-credit creations stay public under the signup-credit policy.

Public entries share the original prompt

The Gallery displays the original prompt you submitted alongside the generated previews and downloadable candidates.

Before choosing public visibility, make sure the prompt is something you are comfortable sharing and allowing search engines or visitors to copy.

Put the guide to work
